History
The district of Sanmin Branch was originally under the area of Sinsing Collection Office. On January 1, 2003, the task of business tax collection originally performed by the Revenue Service Office was transferred to the Administration. Owing to the increase of personnel and the lack of office space, Sanmin Collection Office was divided into two offices. The first office was located on the seventh floor of the Sanmin Administration Building (7F., No. 215, Ha’erbin St., Sanmin Dist., Kaohsiung City), and handled affairs of business tax, profit-seeking enterprise tax and estate/gift tax. The second office was located on the sixth floor of the Sanmin Activity Center (6F., No. 468, Dashun 2nd Rd., Sanmin Dist., Kaohsiung City), and housed the services section and individual income tax section. On January 1, 2009, the Administration became a first-class government agency and at the same time, its subordinated the Sanmin Collection Office, reorganizing it into the Sanmin Branch.
